The Japanese House – Clean

One-woman-band Amber Bain – better known as The Japanese House – premiered the title track from her upcoming second EP ‘Clean’ today, with Zane Lowe also branding it this weeks Hottest Record on Beats 1.

The sparkly, magical sounds on Clean follow the beautifully structured EP Pools To Bathe In, which was the first release from the 19 year old Londoner. Produced by The 1975’s Matthew Healy and George Daniel who sit on the same label as The Japanese House, Amber delivers another strong track with layered vocals and production tricks.

Premiered on The Fader today, Amber tells them that Clean is an apology to a friend. “It’s about the clean light a good person can shed on you once they forgive you, ridding you of your guilt and making you feel like a good person too.”

The Japanese House tours the UK next month, and I don’t know about you, but i’m certainly excited to see how Amber delivers her sound live. Full list of dates below, and any remaining tickets can be found via her Facebook here.
